Seeds of a Dandelion by pgadler via stock.xchng
A few weeks ago we had an amazing prayer and worship event for YWAM San Diego/Baja. About a hundred of us met together to seek the Lord about the future of our base and mission. For an evening, all of us focussed on Mission Adventures and the Mission Adventures Network. As we waited on the Lord in small groups, our prayers focussed on three things:
- Innovation-praying for new things in new ways
- Multiplication-for more MA everywhere
- Release of new staff and new equipment and new funds
To close our prayer time, everyone surrounded Kay Charlotte and I and prayed over us and by extension, over you in the Network. During the evening we had several impressions.
Luba Iliyn saw a picture of a dandelion. She shared with us:
When I was waiting on the Lord regarding the future of MA and praying specifically for multipication, I felt the Lord very clearly say, “I do the multifplying. You do what I have asked you to do and that is share the vision and the people will and have come.” Then I saw a picture of a dandelion. The seeds were carried by the wind to the far corners of the earth. They were out there, but many were dormant just under the ground because it was not yet time for them to sprout. God’s rains are coming and they will water the ground. I believe that much prayer and struggle has been and is part of God’s rain. The time is soon and even now when these seeds will sprout and come out of the most unlikely places. The seeds are all connected to the many who at one time had some connection or experience with MA. Prepare for this by being faithful in training your workers, communicating with your alumni and getting materials so you will be ready to receive the multiplication.
When Luba shared this impression, I felt a stir of confirmation inside. We’re already seeing some of this. Different bases are sprouting up long after God’s wind first blew the seeds. It’s happening even without my effort or involvement. I take this picture as a promise of God’s faithfulness to us and as a promise of new bases in new places starting Mission Adventures. I think this will be part of what we pray into and discuss at the North American WAVES Gathering next week in Salem. I hope that Luba may be able to join with us and share more.
