I have to admit, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Yes, I love turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. And I can really get into watching football and falling asleep on the couch. But I think it’s so cool that my country pauses for a day to be grateful and to celebrate with family and friends.
On Thursday, I took a few minutes to count my blessings. Of course, knowing God and being made clean by his sacrifice were first on my list. I also had a strong sense of gratitude for the amazing wife Jesus has given me. I really am amazed by her capacity, her drive, and her confidence. She is a source of tremendous strength for me. My son Levi and my daughter Taylor are so very cool. I really enjoy watching them grow and seeing them learn more about our God.
I am also amazed at the work God has invited me to do. This calling to be a missionary in our YWAM tribe really is a tremendous privilege. My life has meaning in part because of what he invites me to do. And this leads me to you. I am so grateful for your partnership in Mission Adventures. When we started this Network so long ago, we thought there might be five or six bases that would want to work with us. To my surprise and delight, scores of YWAMers at dozens of YWAM bases in a bunch of nations have joined with us. I don’t take this lightly. Your trust, your willingness to contribute, and your desire to give kids a taste of missions is a big boost for me.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Peace,
Craig
